Working alongside the world renowned Joe Rush, founder of the Mutoid waste company, we assisted in producing the newest exhibit for Glastonbury Festival - Carhenge 2023.

 

Being pivotal in the delivery of the installation we got heavily involved in the fabrication of the cars to form the structural elements, from here we went onto producing the structural baskets to form part of the long term foundations, and setting out the foundations and bolt down points.

 

Once the concrete was cured we moved onto the installation of the cable ducting for the lighting and sound. Once the ground works were complete we installed the cars and fabricated the top supports for the cars featuring in Car Henge.

 

Overseeing many elements of the build and leasing with suppliers and site services we were pleased to see the completed project open to and being enjoyed by the public. 

After forming a previous relationship with Arcadia Spectacular at Valleyfest, S Carpenter Creative were commissioned to design and build a helicopter based swing set for the children’s area of the festival, we took this project from concept through to design, with structural calculations, right through to construction and installation.

 

Based on an ex mod helicopter and built using mainly recycled materials such as telegraph poles etc, we formed a fully reusable structure (battling the elements) and installed ready for the festival to be enjoyed by untold amounts of children!

 

The structure was fully designed constructed illuminated and built by our own in house team.
